Hi Ana,
Beautiful mountain view. The tree on the pic is the European larch (Larix decidua), a deciduous conifer.

Hi Luciano again,
This photo is better than the 2nd in the series, the squirrel's much bigger and is more in focus in the frame, so the blown out patches in the background are not so emphasised. Funny pose and great eye contact. Thanks very much for this short series, I enjoyed it. Good luck for the continuation!

Hi Luciano,
The squirrel themselves is beautifully captured, however, the visual impact is a bit distracted by the big blown out spots and the huge foreground. Probably, another camera angle (semi-vertical composition) and tighter crop might have helped? But the story is great, nonetheless.

Perfect capture as always from you. Excellent colors, fantastic textures on the plumage and the hornbill's pose is really funny. Like someone just got a heavy backpack and is trying to balance the load. :-) Conspicuous image, congratulations!

Hi Ron,
Light conditions were difficult, but this photo is really spectacular, the sunbird is like a little jewel in front of the light blue background. You managed to use the available lights very well, great details on both the dark and the bright parts. Very pleasant, clear composition + nice sunny colors were also parts of the game. This is an outstanding capture.

Hi Ron,
Not your best photo in my opinion, the grassblades are distracting compositional elements, and the whole pic seems oversharpened to me. In Ireland, where I live, I mostly see foxes hit on the roadside.

Hi Lucja,
The species on the photo is the Sulphur Tuft (Hypholoma fasciculare (Huds.) P. Kumm.), which is a parasitic species (changing to saprobic lifestyle when the wood is dead), so I'd hardly call the subject as "symbiosis". But the photo's lovely, indeed.

Hi Tom,
Beautifully composed photo of an animal rarely seen here on TN. Perfect exposure control and contrast, I love those photos made with flash where the subject is correctly, but the background is underexposed - this is the case here, too, and the contrast is very elegant. Great pose and eye contact as well. Absolutely a shot to be proud of. Bravo.

Hi Ishi,
Great repost to Luciano's squirrel image. Nice capture while the animal tries to eat. WS photo isn't sharp, however, that's why it isn't the main post... This species is invasive in Ireland also, where I live, but I've never detected it yet in the wild. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Asbed,
I'm so happy to get the honour to write the first comment to this fantastic photo. Perfect shutter speed (as expected from an experienced bird photographer like you) to freeze the flight, excellent sharpness, and the compo's second to none with the bright yellow leafs in the background. Absolutely stunning image, hats off for you!

Hi Luciano,
It's always good to show something else sometimes, than our main subject - and your talent's also obvious here. Great composition and exposure, with good sharpness. Fine shot. About the species, I never saw this in the wild, although it's an invasive one in Ireland also.

Hi Peter,
Welcome back, and congratulations for finding and posting a new species. Excellent photo, the bird's tack sharp, and their pose is truly spectacular. Nice lights and color tones as well, and the background's mish-mashed so well that it seems like an underwater scene. The photo of the day for me on TN, a very valuable post.

Hi Marius, my neighbour in the gallery today,
Beautiful pair of action photos, great sharpness, shutter speed, contrast. The photos also tell an entire story - I've also seen such chase in Ireland, also after the nesting season was over. Protection of the conspecific birds and the hunting ground should be the reason, but it's just my guess. Perfect post, congratulations.

Hi John,
Hard to say a proper identification, as only the top of the cap is visible, but due to the cap color and the special type of scales probably your mushroom's Amanita franchetii (Boud.) Fayod, however, I can't be sure only from this PoV. About the aesthetic value, I have to say this isn't your best photo, very noisy, out of focus and practically there's no composition at all.
