Well yes. It's been 10 years since my first upload on this site. Unfortunately, now we aren't a lot like 10 years afo, but better ,this means that I will spend less for the festivities. ..ahahah ... Anyway, I lives 10 years who taught me a lot and made me know a magnificent world.
What I show you today is the preliminary phase of the Melitaea didyma coupling, at the top you can see the female in the classic waiting position.

Class: Insecta
Order: Lepidoptera
Family: Nymphalidae
Subfamily: Nymphalinae
Genus: Melitaea
Species: M. didyma

The Spotted Fritillary (Melitaea didyma) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found primarily in Southern and Central Europe.
The wingspan is 35-50 mm. The butterfly flies from April to September depending on the location.
The larvae feed on various plants, including Linaria, Plantago lanceolata, Veronica, Centaurea jacea and Digitalis purpurea.

10 ANNI SU TE

Hi Luciano,

Thanks for your dedication for 10yrs. Always nice to see your posting even though I don't always comment.
A nice shot of a pair of butterflies not resident in the UK. Good colour and clarity.

Many thanks for sharing.

Regards Bill.

Hi Luciano,
Congratulation for your 10 years here. Hope you will show us more and more such beautiful butterfly photo.
Beautiful presentation. Excellent focus on two butterflies eyes; focus is equally distributed which we don't see much when two subjects are in the frame.
Thanks for sharing and keep shooting,
Regards,
Srikumar

Hello Luciano,
Congratulations on your ten year anniversary here on TN. Nice to see this romantic couple is here to help you celebrate this momentous occasion. Tac sharp focus throughout the entire frame while displaying exceptional detail and rich natural colors. It is always a pleasure viewing your many contributions to the site. Thank you also for helping me identify my butterflies from time to time.
God Bless,
Ron

Hello Luciano,
Congratulations on your contribution to TN development and the help given to members. In all these years we all have learned from you both the butterfly species in the Alps and how to take pictures.
This site is no longer as in the beginning when many photographers were busy posting their creations, but they still are a handful of people who love nature and want to expose their photos without too much comment.....
Marius.
