Baby Sand Lizards
|[Note Guidelines] הערת הצלם|
|These captive-bred baby sand lizards (lacerta agilis) were being released onto protected heathland in Dorset, UK. The practice has been widened this Summer (2009), with much larger numbers being released into former sand lizard hot spots in the UK. Fortunately, when I took this shot, the babies had been kept in a cool box for their journey, and were happy to sit still for a minute warming up, before they ran off into the undergrowth, to try and avoid adders, smooth snakes, birds and all the other dangers of real life in the wild.|
