|GREAT WHITE PELICAN (DANUBE RIVER)|
The great white pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus) also known as the eastern white pelican, rosy pelican or white pelican is a bird in the pelican family. It breeds from southeastern Europe through Asia and in Africa in swamps and shallow lakes.
Great white pelicans are usually birds found in and around shallow, (seasonally or tropical) warm fresh water. Well scattered groups of breeding pelicans occur through Eurasia from the eastern Mediterranean to Vietnam.

Hi Marius, hats off!!! Fantastic in flight capture of this pelican...and what a scenery in background. The first lights of the day in this warm composition, and it's incredible the sharpness of the wings in this difficult situation, absolutely great!! Have a good night and thanks,Luciano

Not an easy task to focus under such low light conditions but you pulled it off perfectly. A beautiful in-flight shot of the white pelican at mornings first light. I never realized how large these birds actually are until I read the notes from your last post. A real beauty, thanks for sharing.
beautiful colored picture with good sharpness and nice details
thanks gr lou
I like here BG, beautiful. Very tough condition but well captured with good details and focus. Nice exposure too.
Thanks for showing,
Breathtaking sunrise image with vivid colors and excellent contrast, not to mention the spectacular composition. Until I didn't check out the exif info I never thought this photo was shot with high shutter speed. An exceptional capture, bravo!
